John Patrick

John Patrick is a native of St Petersburg, he received his BA in Interdisciplinary Social Science (areas of focus; Criminology, Sociology and African American Studies), from the University of South Florida (Tampa Campus) and his Masters of Business Administration from Tampa College.

John spent 7 years in the insurance industry with Allstate Insurance, where he worked his way through college before becoming a Unit Supervisor. John has been in Law Enforcement for over 30 years with the Pinellas County Sheriff’s Office, where he has served as a Patrol Corporal, a School Resource Officer, a Field Training Officer, and a Criminal Intelligence Detective. He finds his present position as the first and only Community Outreach Liaison for the Pinellas County Sheriff’s Office, to be the most rewarding. John has served on the Advisory Board for Empath Health and is currently serving on the Advisory Board for the Pinellas County Urban League. John is also a member of both the Mid County and South County Community Councils for JWB. John has volunteered as a mentor in Pinellas County Schools throughout his career. John has been a mentor for Poynter Institutes “The Write Field” organization and is currently a mentor the “Men In the Making” mentoring organization.

John has been married to his wife Sabrina for 33 years and they have two adult daughters. John is also an ordained deacon and serves in that capacity at the Rock of Jesus Missionary Baptist Church under Pastor Frank Peterman in St. Petersburg.
