Clete Goddard is a Business Development Manager for Modern Business Associates (MBA) headquartered in St. Petersburg, FL. Among his many responsibilities at MBA, his passion lies in supporting small businesses with specialized strategic growth planning. Modern Business Associates is one of the largest privately owned Professional Employer Organizations (PEO) that specializes in payroll, tax expertise, benefits administration, risk management, human resources, and workers compensation services. They are licensed in 46 states with clients spread among the U.S.

In addition to his work at MBA, Clete is also the President of The Goddard Advisers, where he consults with Florida-based business owners as they navigate the complexities of operating small and medium-sized organizations. Through his work with The Goddard Advisors, Clete has had the fortunate opportunity to work with some of the most influential names across Tampa and St. Petersburg.

As a native of Tampa Bay, Clete graduated from the University of Tampa, where he was a four-year letterman as a member of the Men’s Soccer program. With a degree in Sports Management, Clete was given the opportunity to kickstart his coaching career in 2013 as the as the Goalkeeping coach for UT Men’s Soccer. Due to his success and recognition within the sport, Clete has also worked for organizations such as the Tampa Bay Rowdies youth program as well as Tampa Bay United. Currently, Clete is in his eighth season as an Assistant Coach/Goalkeeping with UT Men’s Soccer and thoroughly enjoys supporting young men on their collegiate journey – both on and off the field.

Clete’s love for philanthropy flourished when he began working for the Axis Group under his mentor, Patrick Moraites. As a current Children Cancer Center Board Member and Co-Founder of Charity Polo Classic, Moraites strongly encouraged his employees to get involved within the community. From his time at the Axis Group, Clete has volunteered for local charities such as Metropolitan Ministries, Trinity Café, Fighter Foundation, and Habitat for Humanity.
Clete enjoys spending time with his wife, Jessica, and their three-year-old son, Cash. As evident in both his personal and professional life, Clete strongly believes in the power of giving back to his community and serving those who need it the most. Clete looks forward to the opportunity to serve a growing charity like Florida Dream Center by sharing his time, network, and resources.
